How To Get the Most Out of Your Message

“It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it”

“How to get the most out of your message.”  or   “It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.”    (Discussion of appropriate networking verbiage / language as well as a discussion of relational equity.)

The mere mention of “networking” is met with rolled eyes, long sighs and butterflies (in the tummy.)    So why the visceral reactions?   Networking is often considered a self-serving activity, using one-way communication to achieve an objective.   But it doesn’t have to be that way!    Please join Wendy Gawlik, for a discussion on networking verbiage and messaging techniques, which will turn the stomach-churning schmoozing into a two-way collaboration towards common professional goals.

 Speaker:

Wendy Gawlik, Career Transition Specialist and Project Lead, Challenger, Gray & Christmas, the Original Outplacement Coaching Company.

Wendy has successfully guided professionals through their career transitions by providing strategic advice, consultation and support in one-on-one and group environments.  Wendy’s approach weaves Challenger’s innovative and time-tested methods with her own experience as an Executive Recruiter, to support job seekers in navigating the next phase of their careers.    Her areas of specialization include:  networking strategies, interview techniques, offer negotiation, resume development, career planning, online branding and social media.    Wendy earned her Certified Personnel Consultant designation in 2008.   She was included in the National Registry of Staffing Professionals for ten years and a member of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS).
