Navigating employment law considerations as companies continue to grow and do business overseas is an ever-broadening challenge. HR policies and practices appropriate in one country may not be directly transferable to another.

Attend the session to hear case studies and war stories regarding the latest updates on topics such as:

David Steiger - Legal Consultant at CNA Insurance and Global Employment Law, author of "The Globalized Lawyer" and "Transactions without Borders".

Laura Ortega - Executive Director, International Business Council at Illinois Chamber of Commerce. She is an expert in International Policy and International Client Management. Some of her previous work has been with the Consulate General of Spain-Chicago, the European Union of Counsel-Client Management. 

Manuel Cuevas-Tris├ín - Vice President, Labor & Employment Law, Motorola. He provides strategic advice on high risk activities on a global basis, including downsizing, outsourcing, M&A, corporate restructuring, employment, and privacy/data protection.  He also co-authored the Mexico chapter of International Labor and Employment Laws. 

Brian Arbetter - Partner at Sheppard Mullin Law Firm that specializes in corporate, employment and privacy law, including International and Cross Border considerations.
