Chris Pinc, Towers Watson, Consulting Director
Chris Pinc is the global leader of the operations and project delivery functions of Towers Watson’s employee survey and research practice. In this role, he holds ultimate accountability for ensuring close coordination of Towers Watson’s global survey resources, and for the quality of our client deliverables. He also holds the position of Consulting Director and specializes in helping clients understand the links between business strategy and organizational culture. Chris has ten years of experience conducting survey research and has led many of Towers Watson’s largest employee engagement projects. He has worked with many organizations undergoing organizational transformations, as well as those focused on implementing major changes in strategic direction, and has helped them to use employee engagement initiatives to drive improvements in business performance.
Additionally, he has been a speaker at numerous events and conferences, including the HR Leadership Summit and World at Work, and was a guest lecturer at the Harvard School of Public Health. Chris also has extensive experience living and working abroad, giving him a broad global perspective on workplace and human capital issues. Fluent in Spanish, Japanese and English, he has coached managers at numerous organizations to help resolve problems in diverse workplaces and complex organizational cultures. He holds a Ph.D. in development economics from the University of Nagoya, Japan. Prior to joining Towers Watson, Chris performed survey work with the United Nations Development Program in La Paz, Bolivia.
Kirsten Tanis, CDW, Senior Manager, Leadership and Organizational Capability
Kirsten is responsible for leadership development and coworker engagement at CDW. She builds leader capabilities that drive business results through Officer and Director Leadership Conferences, the CDW Leadership Academy, CDW’s Leadership Portal and custom programs. In addition, Kirsten oversees CDW’s engagement survey and coaches senior leaders around key insights to enhance coworker experiences and ensure CDW retains its place among the highest performing cultures and companies.
Prior to CDW, Kirsten spent 8 years with Burger King Corporation in various roles. As Director of Internal Communications, she had global responsibility for employee and franchisee communications, crafting speeches, presentations, videos and other communications for the CEO, regional presidents and functional executives. In this role, she also oversaw Burger King’s intranet, AV studio and events departments. As Director of Talent and Organizational Development, Kirsten was accountable for assessment, development, performance management, succession planning, engagement and culture for Burger King worldwide. She also served as a Corporate HR generalist during Burger King’s turnaround.
Kirsten began her career in consulting, first with Price Waterhouse’s Change Practice and then with Sibson & Company in strategic talent and rewards.
Erin Souza, Charles River Associates
Erin leads the Learning and Professional Development team at Charles River Associates, a leading global consulting firm that offers strategy, financial, and economic consulting services to major law firms, corporations, and governments around the world. Erin is responsible for all things ‘development’ at CRA including: onboarding, company-wide core training programs, practice specific skill development, leadership training, performance review program and career development planning.
Prior to assuming her current position 6 years ago, Erin worked in Human Resources for an Investment Management company in Boston, MA. While in Boston, Erin also attended graduate school at Suffolk University and obtained her PHR. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at San Francisco State University.
Dan Klein, Mercer, Senior Partner
Dan Klein leads several global clients for Mercer, he is based in Chicago. With over 31 years of experience, Dan helps large, complex global clients operate within the business and regulatory framework for human resources, service delivery, employee engagement, benefits and compensation. Dan also helps clients address challenges arising during reorganizations, acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers and divestitures. He represents Mercer on Marsh & McLennan Companies’ Aerospace Industry Leadership Group.
He joined Mercer in 1987 with the acquisition of A.S. Hansen. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois and a JD from Marquette University.
