Ellen Kapoor PHR, Human Resources Business Partner, Dyson
The world’s growing supply of new technology and innovation is continuously changing – and personal and professional branding should evolve with it. Ellen Kapoor leads the Talent Acquisition function at Dyson – the premium technology company, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Ellen is currently developing Dyson’s talent infrastructure in order to take advantage of the increasingly important role of social media on employment brand engagement. In this session we will discuss revamped networking tactics, identify ways to leverage social media in order to enhance your professional brand, and take a look at employer branding strategies.
Ellen’s 12-year career in human resources and talent management landed her at companies such as; Hewitt, Ipsos, and McGraw-Hill. Outside of work she has been involved in presentation skill development as a local leader with Toastmasters International for the last eight years and has led walking tours of historic downtown buildings as a docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Ellen earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
