Moderator:

Ashley McBride Taylor, Senior Human Resource Manager, ArrowStream Inc.

Ashley is a Human Resources professional with broad generalist experience managing employee relations, talent management, corporate recruiting, compensation and benefits, legal compliance and organizational change management. With ArrowStream, Ashley works closely with Executive Leadership to engage and support targeted strategic initiatives within the organization through idea generation, analysis, implementation and measurement. Having led the Human Resources function with the business through executive leadership changes, business decline and growth phases, as well as branding transitions, Ashley understands the critical nature in aligning effective Human Resources strategies with evolving business objectives.

Prior to joining ArrowStream, Ashley was a Staffing Consultant with The Larko Group. Ashley received her B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.

Speakers:

Steve Merkin, Sr. Vice President, Human Resource, Renaissance Pharma

Steve serves as Senior Vice President, Human Resource for Renaissance Pharma, assuming this role in November 2012.  Renaissance focuses on two pharmaceutical industry segments in the United States and Canada: 1) contract development and manufacturing, and 2) commercialization of branded and generic prescription products. 

Prior to Renaissance, Steve was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Cardinal Health’s Medical Segment, a global health care services company that improves the cost effectiveness of health care.  The Medical segment is comprised of medical-surgical distribution and manufacturing businesses that employ over 16,000 employees worldwide. He has held senior Human Resources roles supporting the company’s Consulting and Services, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Products and Technologies businesses. 

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Steve had over 17 years of Human Resources experience with Cobra Golf, Allegiance Corporation, Baxter International, and Consumers Power Company.

Steve serves as an adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois’ Graduate School of Labor and Employment Relations, is a Board Trustee of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago, and a member of the Board of Directors of HRMAC.  He received his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Organization Behavior and M.A. in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign,

Olga Zorc, Vice President, Human Resources at RoundTable Healthcare Partners

Ms. Zorc works closely with the operating partners/principals of RoundTable and the portfolio companies to provide counsel and resources to support strategic HR initiatives.  She has 25 years of human resource experience, predominantly in the healthcare industry.  Prior to joining RoundTable, Olga provided HR consulting services to small, private and public companies including RoundTable through her business, Zorc Resources, Inc.  Previously, she held Vice President positions in Compensation, Staffing and Development with Cardinal Health and Allegiance Healthcare as well as HR Generalist positions with Baxter Healthcare.  Ms. Zorc holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Mike DiClaudio, Director, Towers Watson

Mike leads the firm’s HR Service Delivery practice globally, and is based in the Chicago office.  He previously spent two years leading the practice in Europe and the Middle East and was based in the London office.  He works with organizations to design and deliver their business and HR strategies.  Mike has worked with organizations across multiple sectors and geographies, including leading consumer products, pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial/manufacturing, retail and financial services organizations.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from Albion College in Albion, Michigan USA.

Matt Corona, Sales Strategy & Insights, PepsiCo North American Nutrition

Matt is a Chicago-based consumer products strategist, who has worked on innovation, go-to-market strategy, and sales execution planning initiatives.  Prior to joining PepsiCo, Matt was a management consultant in Accenture's Strategy practice, where he advised clients on long-range planning, portfolio strategy, and new product development.  He holds a Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from Albion College.
