Join us for a panel of recruiting experts that will focus on Talent acquisition methods other than “post and pray” including finding, connecting and building a brand with passive candidates.  Our panel will discuss topics ranging from utilizing social media, and long term strategies, to “Just in Time” recruiting techniques. Come learn how these professionals address their significant and constant hiring objectives by being proactive and leveraging the latest strategies and techniques to ensure consistent candidate flow while reinforcing a positive employment brand.

Moderator:

Gibson Smith, Director of Talent Acquisition & Management, Avionos, a Digital Consultancy focused on the Connected Customer.

Gibson is responsible for developing innovative hiring strategies for the emerging Internet of Things market.  Prior to Avionos, Gibson was with Acquity Group – a part of Accenture Interactive for eight years managing both the Corporate Recruiting Group and a Multi-Million dollar subcontracting practice.

As a system thinker, he believes the key components in building a successful talent acquisition model is to deliver a strong Employee Value Proposition and offer unique career experiences that will not only improve the lives of employees, but also make them evangelists for the organization. Gibson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wittenberg University and his MBA in eCommerce Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Anne Nimke, CEO, The Good Jobs, Inc.

Anne is revolutionizing employment branding and talent attraction and has created the first ever Company Culture Directory. She is a creative, successful entrepreneur and talent thought leader who helps companies build strategic talent attraction, acquisition, and management programs and has done so for 35 years.

She co-founded two globally recognized Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) companies: HRfirst (now Kelly OCG) and Cielo (formerly Pinstripe) and has spent her entire career in the talent acquisition space as a practitioner and third party provider. Her most recent venture, The Good Jobs is a turnkey employment branding solutions especially for companies that: have a talent shortage, are proud of their culture, and need to create awareness and differentiation. 

Dustin Carper, Employment Brand Strategist, Groupon

Dustin focuses on social media recruiting, recruitment advertising, blogging, and creating the framework for evangelizing Groupon’s employment brand. From the day that he used LinkedIn to get his job at Groupon, Dustin has been immersed in the world of social media and personal branding. He now uses that passion to help Groupon find their employment brand and show what it’s truly like to work at the company. Groupon is able to make decisions based on data regarding recruitment advertising, posting resources, and external tools in an effort to capture the elusive social ROI. 

Chris Jenkins, Director, Talent Acquisition, kCura

Chris Jenkins joined kCura in early 2013, bringing more than 15 years of recruiting experience across various industries to the company. As Director of Talent Acquisition, Chris provides leadership to the kCura recruiting team.  Since joining kCura, they have hired over 325 employees.  Chris has experience creating talent acquisition recruiting strategies, building high performing teams, and improving talent acquisition processes.  Chris implemented kSelect—kCura’s company-wide training initiative that teaches kCurians best practices when interviewing and selecting candidates. This has helped the company identify candidates who align with kCura’s core values.

Prior to joining kCura, Chris led experienced-hire recruiting nationally for Deloitte Consulting’s Technology Systems Integration and Deloitte Digital Service Lines, as well as the public sector practice.  Chris also held roles at Advanced Clinical, Hall Kinion, and his own recruiting firm, CJ Med Search, which placed healthcare professionals at hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree in public and environmental affairs with a concentration in health administration from Indiana University.
