The passage of the Affordable Care Act and the development of the public and private exchanges were catalysts for the evolution of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). So much so that ACO development is growing at a rate of between 25-30% year over year. As employers continue to control health care costs through plan design changes and cost shifting, many are now considering more fundamental changes in how care is provided: paying patient attribution fees to health systems in turn for them taking accountability for risk transfer. This webinar will cover the following:

  • Results from Aon Hewitt's recent survey showing that over 50% of employers are looking to add local ACO solutions in the next 3-5 years
  • The current state of the market focusing on health plan based ACOs versus direct contract ACOs
  • What employers will need to do to analyze available options to ensure viability/alignment with employers objectives

This program will be presented by Christina Miles, SVP, Health and Benefits Team, Aon Hewitt.
