The Skills Gap in Human Resources: When you know if it is Time to Go Back to School

Is it true that we don’t have enough jobs for the number of job seekers? More than 9 million Americans are unemployed, according to the Labor Department, and many more are underemployed.  Employers report frustration at not finding skilled workers. Jobs wait to be filled because current job seekers lack the right skills. This is referred to as the skills gap.

Please join us on Monday, October 19th, when a panel of experts explore how employers and job seekers can work together to close the skills gap.

Speakers:

Lindsey Abrams, Vice President, Human Resources, Redwood Logistics

Diane Robinson, Manager, Human Resources, Comcast

Meredith Daw, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Student Advancement, and Executive Director of Career Advancement, University of Chicago
