Each program is 60 minutes in length. No special software downloads are required. To access this program all you will need is a computer with an Internet connection and a telephone for the audio presentation. 

 

Program Description

Two recently-enacted laws can dramatically impact employers’ legal liability and human resources operations.  The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 changes employee entitlements under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA). The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 amends the statutory limitation period for an employee to present an equal-pay lawsuit against an employer.

In this program you will hear about how these laws can impact your organization.  You will learn how to work with your benefits provider to make sure they are in compliance with the newly enacted COBRA guidelines and how to protect your company by instituting proper communication and record keeping practices.
