Kerri Garvey, Director of Change Leadership

McKesson

Kerri Garvey is an Organizational Development professional with 18+ years of experience with a variety of organizations in various industries.  She has worked in both the for-profit arena for companies such as Accenture, Watson Wyatt, and McKesson, as well as in the not-for-profit sector at the Chicago Board of Trade (became for-profit in 2004).  Kerri has also run her own successful consulting business with clients primarily in the healthcare industry.  Her breadth and depth of expertise is extensive, focused on improving workforce productivity, satisfaction, and efficiency.  She has refined her skills in the areas of Organizational Development; Training, Learning, and Development; Change Management/Leadership; Organization Design; Process Improvement; Program Development and Implementation; Organization Diagnosis and Intervention; and Communications.  Kerri has been fortunate enough to lead the “people side” of a number of organization-wide, transformational initiatives.  These initiatives have required culture shifts – and multi-faceted leadership and employee education efforts were vital both to changing culture and to the initiative’s overall success.

Some of the most satisfying work Kerri has accomplished has been in strategy development around building employee skills with limited budget and leadership support, alignment of employees around a common purpose or mission, and using a creative array of education types and tools to accomplish diverse purposes – from increasing workforce productivity and implementing organizational interventions to aligning organizational and employee performance and ultimately improving employee motivation and satisfaction.

Kerri earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, specializing in organizational and interpersonal communication.
