The social networking and media world is ever changing and becoming increasingly critical to successful recruiting and job search. The rapid rate of change makes it difficult to stay on top with what’s new in social networking, let alone figure out how to leverage it in your job search.
Our presenter, Matt Kerr, will not only introduce Web 2.0 and discuss social media tools, but more importantly, give an overview of how to proactively find job opportunities online, position yourself effectively to be found by recruiters, and to use social media as a way to prepare for your interviews.

Matt joined BPI group in 2009 with more than than 20 years of human resources experience including executive search, career transition, talent acquisition and labor relations. As part of the firm’s Career Transition practice, he serves as a career transition and outplacement consultant supporting executives and managers in a variety of industries -- leveraging Web 2.0 applications and technology to help connect people to the right opportunities. With this expertise, he also counsels job networking groups and individuals interested in understanding how to use online resources in their career searches.
Prior to joining BPI group, Matt conducted executive searches as a Principal for Talent Integration; served as Human Resources Director for Patrick Engineering; and worked for 15 years at Motorola in a number of HR roles. Matt has a Master’s degree in HR Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Business from Loyola University Chicago.
