Program
Since the effects of the Recession began to take hold in 2008, companies and their HR functions have been under renewed pressure to manage or reduce costs and still deliver value -- doing the same or more, with less. We have seen and heard of the most common approaches to cost control: reductions in force, furloughs, layoffs, reducing hours, redlining or reducing direct pay, and so on. So where have all these actions left the best talent management strategies envisioned or in place as the recession began? And what will happen as the recession subsides?
This program will feature a collection of stories or case studies, many from the Chicagoland area, in which companies have successfully realigned or repositioned talent strategies over the last year, as well as how they see these adjustments and their talent management strategies evolve over the next two years. We will explore innovative approaches to 'doing more with less' over the last 12-18 months, and how the experience will help shape their approaches to talent management going forward.

David Jones, Vice President, Right Management
