PROGRAM PURPOSE
HRMAC members are our best advocates for all the association has to offer.
You know best how to find HR professionals who are leading - or will lead - the
field into the future. As a HRMAC member, you understand the link between your
HRMAC experience and the value to your organization as well as your own career.

PROGRAM DETAILS
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK? IT'S SIMPLE!
- The program runs from July 1, 2007 through November 30, 2007.
- Identify prospective HRMAC members*.

www.hrmac.org/membership/memberlist. Check out our Recruiting Tips and Techniques to get started!
*New members are defined as organizations that are not dues-paying members of
HRMAC and have not been dues-paying members for at least one year.
- Contact your prospect about HRMAC membership.
Make a phone call then send an email with a link to HRMAC’s
membership page, www.hrmac.org/membership/recruitment.asp

Send a letter with a hard copy of the membership application.
Download a sample email, sample letter and membership application by clicking
on the links at the bottom of this page. REMEMBER - your name must appear on the application form in
the section “Referred by…” in order to get credit for the new member.
- Follow up with your prospect to ask if they have any questions about the
application and gently remind them again of the benefits of HRMAC membership.
- Recruit-A-Member rewards will be based on the number of points earned
during the program. Points will be tabulated and prizes awarded at the
conclusion of the 2007 program.
RECOGNITION AND REWARDS
Recruit, earn points and win!
Your first referral (either Corporate or Vendor Member) immediately earns you
points and a Levenger Time Traveler clock embossed with the HRMAC logo.
Points Earned:
One Corporate Member = 2 points
One Vendor Member = 1 point
(New Transition, Student and Civic memberships are not eligible for this
program)
Three to four points: L.L. Bean Picnic Throw embroidered with HRMAC logo
Five or more points: $50 Visa Gift Card

Recruiters with five or more points will be entered into a drawing to receive
an Apple I-pod.
Points will be tabulated and prizes awarded at the conclusion of the 2007
program.
HRMAC Recruiters will be recognized on an ongoing basis in HR Leader, on the
HRMAC website, and at the 2008 Leadership Series.

- Assemble of a list of colleagues whose companies are eligible to join HRMAC, but are
not yet members. A list of current HRMAC members is available at www.hrmac.org/membership/memberlist

- Tell one new colleague about HRMAC at each professional function you
attend.
- Talk to vendors. Remind them that membership in HRMAC is a great way to
develop new business and make new contacts, as well as keep up-to-date on
developments in the HR field.
- Ask your vendors for leads - they have strong connections to corporate HR
staff.
- Browse local organization directories for potential members.
- Be so familiar with the benefits of HRMAC membership that they roll off your tongue!
