New this year! SUMMIT 2008 brings together human resources professionals in the early stages of their careers for a special event. This luncheon will feature the presentation, "Keeping your Career on Track" by SSP BPI Group. You will also have the opportunity to network with other up and coming HR leaders and create relationships that will last long after Summit has ended.

HRMAC Awards of Excellence
Join us as we recognize and honor your colleagues for their exceptional leadership and volunteer contributions. HRMAC's Leader of the Year Award acknowledges the vision and commitment to leading-edge human capital practices that drive business success. The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual who gives their time and energy to further the exceptional HRMAC experience for all members. Both awards will be presented at a special ceremony during the general session after lunch. Nominations for awards will be accepted until June 30, 2008.

Professional Development
Continuing education is essential to increase your understanding of the challenges that lie ahead and to expand your arsenal of strategies to meet those challenges. SUMMIT 2008 has been approved for 5.25 strategic recertification hours towards PHR/SPHR certification by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). The use of this seal is not an endorsement by HRCI of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met HRCI’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.

Inside the Center
SUMMIT 2008 will be held in the Convention Center Ballroom. From the main entrance, take the escalator or elevator to the second floor. From the parking garage, take the sky bridge leading to the second floor of the Convention Center.

Parking
Parking is available in the parking garage across from the Rosemont Convention Center at a cost of $11. Valet parking is also available at the front of the DoubleTree Hotel for $24.00 per night (Price may be subject to change.)

Hotel Accommodations
A limited number of hotel guest rooms have been reserved at the DoubleTree Hotel O’Hare-Rosemont, 5460 North River Road Rosemont, Illinois 60018, across the street from the Convention Center. To make a reservation, call the hotel at 847-292-9100 and ask for the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC) rate: $157 single per night (plus tax). The deadline for room reservations is Monday, October 14 or when the HRMAC block reaches the sold out status, whichever occurs first.

Conference Attire
Business or business casual is appropriate attire for SUMMIT 2008.
