Suz O'Donnell, President, Thrivatize LLC
Suz helps companies achieve, sustain and outperform their desired goals.  She works primarily with executives pressured with the need to implement successful change and growth initiatives.  Suz and her team help them excite and engage both employees and customers so their initiative is a roaring success.  Her business advice is featured by Forbes monthly and she’s also been quoted by, U.S. News & World Report, Time, Harvard Business Review, and many more. Nicholas Smith, Chief Operating Officer, National Safety Council 
Before joining NSC, Nicholas Smith was co-founder and managing principal of ICS Consulting, a full-service, compliance consulting and auditing firm. In addition, he co-developed ICS's proprietary compliance software solutions, including ICSEval, EZcertOrigin and SecureID®.  After multiple years of successive growth, the firm was acquired by a large, New York-based security and compliance consulting firm, where Mr. Smith continued to provide consulting and advisory services.
Previously, Mr. Smith served as Chief of Staff for the largest investigative agency within the Department of Homeland Security. He oversaw the day-to-day activities of the agency, which had more than 17,000 employees and a budget of more than $5 billion. Mr. Smith's responsibilities included coordinating the agency's activities with the White House and DHS, and its associated agencies, as well as implementing new policy directives and identifying efficiency opportunities to ensure the agency met key enforcement goals.

Larry Burke, CFO, Dover Fluids
Larry Burke is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dover Fluids, one of the four segments of Dover Corporation.  Larry leads the Finance, Information Technology and M&A strategy for Dover Fluids. Most recently, Larry was president of ZEE Medical, a part of McKesson Corporation’s Medical Surgical business and prior to that was CFO of McKesson Medical-Surgical.  Additionally, Larry spent 13 years with General Electric in various financial roles with his final post as CFO of the GE Healthcare IT Americas unit. Larry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Larry resides in Naperville with his wife and their three children. Dover Fluids is a $1.7B segment of Dover. Dover Fluids has a global presence and is comprised of six different operating companies. 

Kevin Skibinski, General Manager, Amsted Rail
Kevin Skibinski, Amsted Rail’s General Manager for the spring manufacturing operation located in Hammond Indiana, joined the company in May of 1989.  During the 28 years at Amsted, Kevin has spent his career at several Amsted locations in leadership roles ranging from Engineering, M&A, Sales, Operations, & New Business Development. Kevin has many years of experience managing multi-plant operations in the US along with working internationally on new business development with Amsted’s Brazilian joint venture, Amsted-Maxion.  Kevin holds several patents for new products and processes for Amsted. Kevin has completed Innovation training at the University of Chicago & Dartmouth College and is responsible for helping lead the change at the Hammond facility for embedding innovation deeper, wider and faster into its culture. Kevin holds a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering & Technology and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University.  Kevin resides with his two grown children in the greater Chicagoland area.

Carolyn Dolezal, CEO, The Dolezal Group, LLC
Carolyn is the CEO of The Dolezal Group, a management consulting firm that specializes in providing practical strategic advice and support to drive business growth for small to medium sized firms.  Their pragmatic approach focuses on opportunities for expansion and mitigation against barriers to implementation.  The strategic plan is only as good at the ability to successfully execute and see results.  She currently serves as a strategic advisor on market strategy for technology and software companies. Previously, Carolyn served as the Vice President, Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Information Officer for PCTEL, Inc, a global leader in Performance Critical Telecom solutions. Prior to PCTEL, Carolyn worked for SmithBucklin as their Executive Vice President and Chief Executive, Technology Industry Practice. She also served as their Chief Information Officer and has been responsible for client management, service delivery, operations, new business and overall P&L for technology clients. Prior to SmithBucklin, Carolyn served as President of SEI which provided custom call center and telepartner management services for global companies. She began her career at Motorola where she had several leadership positions in Public Service Solutions and Broadband Applications, Strategic Marketing and Business Operations, and Invisix. She has her BBA from University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University. Carolyn serves as a mentor for Menttium, a corporate mentoring program that connects mentors and mentees to support leadership development and diversity in the global business community.  She is a member of the board of directors for National Able Network, a workforce development organization, volunteers to build Christian leadership development programs, and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Private Directors Association.


This program is pending approval for 2.0 credit hours toward PHR/SPHR/GPHR                                                    recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) as well as 2.0 professional               development credits (PDC's) toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification.
