Our panel of experts will provide you with tips and ideas that you may choose to practice in your own organization, whether to reinforce or reinvent culture.

John Boyce, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Centro, an organization included on Crain’s Best Places to Work in Chicago list the past four years in a row.


In his current role, John oversees the development and implementation of talent strategies for Centro. His focus is on helping Centro’s leaders achieve their business goals while enabling the company to attract top candidates and retaining, nurturing and growing Centro’s deep bench of current talent.

John has expertise in organization development, talent management and learning and performance. He’s worked for ExxonMobil where he was instrumental in creating ExxonMobil University and Koch Industries where he worked as a Senior Business Consultant.

John holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where he teaches classes on organizational development in the Master of Product Design and Development program out of the McCormick School of Engineering.


Mark Suwyn, Chairman of the Board at WorkplaceDynamics, the organization that partners with over 40 leading publishers across the US, including the Chicago Tribune, to produce Top Workplaces lists.


Mark has forged a 40+ year career bringing Fortune 500 companies back from the brink of disaster, managing successful mergers and successfully engaging thousands of employees in delivering remarkable business outcomes.  In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of WorkplaceDynamics, Mark is a turn-around consultant for Goldman-Sachs and Harpeth Capital. He has served as CEO and Chairman of NewPage Corp., the largest producer of coated paper in North America, CEO and Chairman of building products manufacturer Louisiana-Pacific, senior vice president for International Paper and spent 25 years with DuPont Company gaining experience in R&D, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and Executive Management in numerous businesses and industries.

Rosemarie Demonte, Vice President of Human Resources, Turner

Rosemarie is responsible for managing Turner’s company-wide recruiting program and internal mobility efforts to ensure efforts lead to the hiring of the best-qualified talent for Turner.  Her responsibilities also include developing and addressing key strategic recruiting issues, employer branding, and managing both the on-boarding and alumni relations programs at Turner. 

As part of her dual role, Rosemarie also works with the Turner’s Headquarter’s Human Resources group in the development and implementation of company wide Human Resource programs as well as serving as a the HR Business Partner to both Turner’s Chief Financial Officer and the CEO of Turner International from a strategic and communication standpoint. 

Rosemarie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from Pace University and is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources.
