This four hour session will provide Human Resources professionals an understanding of how culture influences the role of Human Resources in a global business, how to become a more effective HR global business partner and how to work with, and help develop, cross cultural and global teams. There will be a time at the end of the session to take questions from the group.

As a result of having completed this program, participants will be able to:

  • Learn how the nuances help shape HR accountabilities in a global business.
  • Develop an understanding of HR's strategic role in serving as an effective global business partner.
  • Understand how HR impacts the effectiveness of cross cultural and global teams.

Program Faculty: Bruce Such is Manager, Global Training and Development for Hollister Incorporated, where he supports Corporate Finance, Global Research & Development, New Product Development, and Global Marketing/Business Development. Previously, he was Hollister's Manager of Human Resources - European Division. Formerly, Bruce served as the Executive Vice President and Dean of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Bruce holds an MBA from LFGSM, a BA in Sociology from Loyola University, and an M. Div. from Saint Mary of the Lake University.
