CHRO Roundtables
Share |

HRMAC CHRO Roundtables are forums exclusively for senior HR executives (and senior HR executives in transition) to gather and discuss hot topics and critical issues. These informative, educational sessions provide participants with a local peer network to share leading-edge information and benchmark against best practices in a neutral setting. Held 5 times annually, the Roundtables are designed as an opportunity for CHRO-level executives from HRMAC member companies to enjoy highly interactive forums on a strategic topic of interest.

Each program begins with topical material presented by a content expert(s) from sponsor organizations and includes opportunities for open discussion and dialogue among attendees.

Kodak. Borders. Blockbuster - all once market leaders. Now, all but gone. Why?  They failed to embrace and create a culture of disruption, not recognizing the opportunities to innovate and dramatically shift the customer’s experience. Find out how companies deliberately build a culture of disruption that keeps them on the cutting edge decade after decade. Gary Magenta, SVP and Chief Change Architect of change consulting company Root Inc., unveils the secrets to disruptors – both new entrants and existing companies. In this highly interactive and experiential session, Gary shares the formula for disruption from his forthcoming book, “Disrupt, Defy and Differentiate.” In the first half of this session, Gary defines customer experience disruptors, while the second half focuses on idea-generation, during which attendees discuss how they can create innovative customer experience radicals at their own organizations.

June 19, 2018: Wellness and Mindfulness
Location: Willis Towers Watson, 233 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606
Networking: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM, Program: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Employers have implemented wellness and well-being programs to improve employee health, happiness and productivity — and with the hope that healthier workers will have decreased medical costs. Also, many employers expect that wellness programs will help create a culture of health in their workplaces and believe such programs can help them become an employer of choice. Well-being programs continue to evolve, and the presenters will share strategies for HR leaders to achieve sustained behavioral changes and a healthier workforce from better-targeted incentives that cost less and earning more employee loyalty with thoughtfully designed programs.

The session will also cover why:

  • Yesterday’s wellness programs don’t meet today’s needs
  • Members as consumers need a program that is personalized
  • Programs should move beyond physical wellness
  • Well-being programs will improve only if they are rigorously evaluated
