Call for Presentations: CHRO Roundtables

Proposals are now being accepted for the 2018-2019 CHRO Roundtables! CHRO Roundtables provide a valuable forum for CHROs to network and discuss a broad range of strategic issues. Exclusive sponsors will develop and present content around an emerging topic in the HR field, for a sponsorship fee of $2,500.

Previous attendees of CHRO Roundtables have noted "The panel was particularly effective, and I enjoyed the audience participation. The intimate size allowed for a lot of engagement." and "I appreciate hearing what other companies are doing on this topic (both from participants and the presenter)."

Submit your session proposal based on one of the below topics, outlined by the HRMAC CHRO Roundtable Committee:

    • Examine new approaches to elevate the contributions of HR to the business strategy
    • Differentiate what change means for you, your team, and your stakeholders
    • Case study – a total shift in HR
  • Driving Organizational Performance and Excellence Through Effective Performance Management
    • How do current and evolving performance management practices address EE expectations for feedback and praise?
    • Demonstrate commitment to EEs through performance evaluations
    • Connecting the business to the EE through effective performance conversations
  • Data Literacy: Building a Data-Driven HR Practice
    • Understand the data you have and what it says about your workforce
    • Communicating the health of your organization with human capital insights
    • Don’t let the numbers hold you back – enhancing your data fluency

  • Lessons Learned Before Becoming a CHRO
    • Perspectives from CHROs who have transitioned into HR from other roles/positions.

    • CHROs offer insights into business challenges and opportunities from their unique perspective combining leadership and workforce issues. HR experience on outside Boards and how HR leadership can enhance the governance and company success of other organizations, not just their own.

    • Identifying and understanding the risks you own in HR 
    • Build alliances to effectively manage and/or transfer risk
    • Designing a table-top exercise for your "worst case scenario"
    • Discuss scenarios: data breach, harassment/violence, natural or man-made disasters

    • Increase your digital literacy
    • Learn about current and emerging tech tools that support productivity
    • Understand how generations consume digital content and use digital resources in their work  
The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, August 24. Please consider your availability from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. for the following dates and proposed locations when submitting a proposal:
